FINANCIAL PLANNING STANDARDS BOARD NAMES PAMELA PACKARD
TO ITS 2012 BOARD OF DIRECTORSUS-Based Packard Brings Global Accounting, Financial Services Experience DENVER, CO – 11 January 2012 – Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB), owner of the CFP, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and CFP logo trademarks outside the United States, named Pamela J. Packard, CPA, president and CEO of Strategic Enterprises, LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut, to a four-year term on FPSB’s Board of Directors, starting 1 April 2012.
At Strategic Enterprises, Packard provides strategic advisory services to senior executives and businesses, primarily in the professional and financial services sectors. Prior to her current position, Packard spent nearly 25 years at BDO Seidman, LLP (now BDO USA, LLP), where she served in various positions, including vice chairman, board member, and national tax business line leader. Throughout her career, Packard has held numerous positions on both corporate and nonprofit boards, and now serves as a director and chair of the audit committee of Brown Jordan International, Inc., director of the Financial Women’s Association of New York, director of the National Association of Corporate Directors’ New York Chapter, and director of the Women’s Forum Inc.

Packard, a published author, editor and speaker on tax topics, business strategy and leadership issues, says she looks forward to joining the FPSB Board in April 2012. “I am pleased to join FPSB’s Board of Directors at a time when the organization is focused on building its programs and influence to accomplish its long-term goals,” she said. “FPSB has achieved remarkable growth in its first seven years, and has the potential to serve financial planning professionals in many new territories as it provides additional programs and services to benefit the global community.”
Packard holds an M.S. in Taxation from Pace University, and a B.B.A. in Accounting from Baruch College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She joins FPSB’s 11- person Board of Directors, with members from Australia, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, the UK and the US. Packard’s term on the FPSB Board of Directors ends on 31 March 2016.
