Noel Maye, MBA, CAEFPSB CEO
Noel Maye is Chief Executive Officer of FPSB. Before joining the organization, Mr. Maye was Senior Vice President of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) in the United States, where he oversaw the international, legal, consumer and public affairs, and communications departments, and served as corporate spokesperson.
Prior to CFP Board, he was an associate with Ogilvy, Adams & Rinehart, a New York-based public relations firm, where he specialized in working with financial services clients. Mr. Maye holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, completed the National Association of Corporate Directors’ director training program, and qualified as a lead auditor for certification bodies through the American National Standards Institute. Born and raised in Ireland, he holds an undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from Trinity College Dublin, an MBA in business administration from the University of Colorado and INSEAD’s Executive Certificate in Global Management. As CEO, Mr. Maye is a non-voting member of FPSB’s Board of Directors.
Eric Cauble, CPA, CGMAChief Operating Officer
Eric Cauble, CPA, CGMA, is Chief Operating Officer of FPSB, responsible for the development and execution of strategic goals and initiatives. He coordinates global development efforts and develops infrastructure to enhance resource alignment and increase operational efficiency.
Prior to joining FPSB, Mr. Cauble was Executive VP and COO for a large U.S.-based nonprofit association. He earned a master’s in accounting from Brigham Young University in 1986.

Christie SearlsChief Legal Officer
Christie Searls is the Chief Legal Officer at FPSB where she oversees governance, policy, compliance and intellectual property matters for the organization. She also negotiates and manages FPSB’s commercial agreements, including those with current and potential FPSB Affiliate organizations and vendors.
Ms. Searls leads the compliance portion of FPSB’s Affiliate Assessment Program, which evaluates the CFP certification programs in 27 countries to ensure FPSB’s rigorous standards are being met around the world.
She joined FPSB in May 2018 after spending more than 17 years as counsel to, and ultimately head of, the Intellectual Property group at CenturyLink, a Fortune 500 company. The group won the 2013 World Trademark Review award for best in-house trademark group.
Ms. Searls previously worked for Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) where she managed and enforced the organization’s domestic and international trademark portfolio. Early in her career, she was a commercial litigator in Denver, Colorado.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, where she was recognized as a member of Order of the Coif.
A Colorado native, Ms. Searls enjoys running, theatre and spending time with her husband and two teenage daughters.
J.D. McCartneyChief Communications Officer
As Chief Communications Officer at FPSB, J.D. McCartney leads all aspects of global brand and communications, including marketing, public relations, digital/social media and stakeholder engagement. He works closely with FPSB’s global network of organizations administering CFP and other certification programs throughout Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, to promote CFP certification and the global financial planning profession worldwide.
J.D. joined FPSB in June 2020 after more than eight years with CFA Institute, where he led communications programs to increase visibility and awareness of the global investment profession throughout Asia, the Americas and Europe. Prior to his time with CFA Institute, J.D. spent seven years as co-founder and CEO of award-winning agency Xstatic Public Relations.
J.D. has also worked in broadcasting, is a frequent speaker on PR and marketing topics, and is an expert in media training, executive visibility, social media strategy and crisis communications.
Kieran Rooney, CFPDirector of Standards & Certification
As Director of Standards & Certification at FPSB, Kieran Rooney, CFP, is responsible for executing FPSB’s strategies for standards for the global profession and requirements for FPSB’s pathway and CFP certifications.
Before FPSB, Ms. Rooney was a financial advisor with Boston-based Modera Wealth Management, delivering fee-only advice and tax, investment and insurance strategies to high-net-worth clients, and developing financial planning standards for content, process and workflow for Modera’s U.S. network of offices.
A CFP professional and Enrolled Agent with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, Ms. Rooney co-hosts the Financial Planning Association’s Cross-Border Knowledge Circle and moderates its Journal in the Round Webinar.
Previously, Ms. Rooney worked for United Nations agencies in Denmark and Italy, where she managed course creation, piloting, administration and standard-setting to ensure alignment of courses delivered in five languages to 14,000 end users in 100+ countries. Before the United Nations, Ms. Rooney worked at U.S.-based Development Alternatives, Inc., where she managed donor engagement and led audit reporting for a US$15M USAID project in Haiti. She also served as Institutional Communications Manager with INSEAD – one of the world’s leading graduate business schools with campuses in UAE, Brazil, France, Singapore, the UAE and the US – developing executive education partnerships with global companies.
She holds a certificate in financial planning from Bryant University, a bachelor’s in counseling and human services from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, and a master’s in public health from the EHESP School of Public Health in Paris, France. An Irish and U.S. national, Ms. Rooney speaks English (native), French (advanced intermediate) and Romanian (beginner).
Rajesh KrishnamoorthyCountry Head, India Liaison Office
As Country Head of the India Liaison Office, Rajesh Krishnamoorthy oversees FPSB operations and strategy; grows FPSB certification programs; and builds support to establish and grow the financial planning profession in India, with CFP certification as its symbol of excellence. Rajesh has 20 years of experience in Indian financial markets, spanning treasury management, securitization, institutional sales, private wealth management, and personal finance-related technology platforms.
Rajesh will join FPSB in February 2021 after a decade with wealth management fintech platform iFAST Financial India Pvt. Ltd., as the founding employee, Managing Director, and most recently Vice Chairman of the Board of iFast India Holdings, Singapore.
Previously, Rajesh held roles with ICICI Bank and Fidelity Fund Management Pvt. Ltd. He is also a member of the National Institute of Securities Markets’ Investment Adviser and Retirement Adviser examination committees, and has served on the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s working group and committee to develop and update India’s investment adviser regulations.
Carrie CritchlowExecutive Assistant to the CEO / Global Event Planner
Carrie Critchlow is Executive Assistant to the CEO and Global Event Planner at FPSB. Ms. Critchlow supports CEO Noel Maye with the logistics of his international travel and represents the Denver-based executive office. She also heads up the planning and execution of FPSB’s Global Meetings.
Ms. Critchlow has more than six years of experience in the EA role, supporting C-level executives with a global mandate. She joined FPSB in May 2015 after working with international-based medical device companies, including DaVita in Denver and Biomet 3i in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Prior to this, she held Interior Design roles at architectural firms in South Florida for eight years.
Ms. Critchlow graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, earning a bachelor of science in interior design.
