  • Noel Maye, MBA, CAE

    Noel Maye, MBA, CAE

    FPSB CEO

    Noel Maye is the chief executive officer of FPSB. Before joining the organization, Mr. Maye was senior vice president of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) in the United States, where he oversaw the international, legal, consumer and public affairs, and communications departments, and served as corporate spokesperson.

    Prior to CFP Board, he was an associate with Ogilvy, Adams & Rinehart, a New York-based public relations firm, where he specialized in working with financial services clients. Mr. Maye holds the Certified Association Executive credential, completed the National Association of Corporate Directors’ director training program, and qualified as a lead auditor for certification bodies through the American National Standards Institute. Born and raised in Ireland, he holds an undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from Trinity College Dublin, an MBA in business administration from the University of Colorado and INSEAD’s Executive Certificate in Global Management. As CEO, Mr. Maye is a non-voting member of FPSB’s Board of Directors.

  • Eric Cauble, CPA, CGMA

    Eric Cauble, CPA, CGMA

    Chief Operating Officer

    Eric Cauble, CPA, CGMA, is chief operating officer of FPSB, responsible for the development and execution of strategic goals and initiatives. He coordinates global development efforts and develops infrastructure to enhance resource alignment to increase operational efficiency.

    Prior to joining FPSB, Mr. Cauble was executive VP and COO for a large U.S.-based nonprofit association.  He earned a master’s in Accounting from Brigham Young University in 1986.

  • Kate Holmes, CFP

    Kate Holmes, CFP

    Director of Stakeholder Engagement

    Kate Holmes, CFP is the Director of Stakeholder Engagement at FPSB. Her primary areas of focus are existing and potential Member engagement, global consumer groups, international firms, and marketing and communications. Ms. Holmes is a CFP professional and an international speaker on fintech-enabled financial planning.

    Prior to joining FPSB, Ms. Holmes focused on her virtual financial planning practice and served as a CFP Board brand ambassador and volunteer on CFP Board’s Women’s Initiative Council. She received her bachelor’s from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Christie Searls

    Christie Searls

    Chief Legal Officer

    Christie Searls is the Chief Legal Officer at FPSB where she oversees governance, policy, compliance and intellectual property matters for the organization. She also negotiates and manages FPSB’s commercial agreements, including those with current and potential FPSB member organizations and vendors.

    Ms. Searls leads the compliance portion of FPSB’s Member Assessment Program, which evaluates the CFP certification programs in 26 countries to ensure FPSB’s rigorous standards are being met around the world.

    She joined FPSB in May 2018 after spending more than 17 years as counsel to, and ultimately head of, the Intellectual Property group at CenturyLink, a Fortune 500 company. The group won the 2013 World Trademark Review award for best in-house trademark group.

    Ms. Searls previously worked for Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards where she managed and enforced the organization’s domestic and international trademark portfolio. Early in her career, she was a commercial litigator in Denver, Colorado.

    She earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, where she was recognized as a member of Order of the Coif.

    A Colorado native, Ms. Searls enjoys running, theatre and spending time with her husband and two teenage daughters.

  • DeNesha Tellis

    DeNesha Tellis

    Director of Communications

    As the Director of Communications, DeNesha Tellis leads FPSB’s global communications strategy and execution, including branding, media relations, internal communications and executive communications. She leads a team focused on creating solutions to advance the objectives of the organization and support the global financial planning community.

    Ms. Tellis has more than 15 years of experience working in communications and the financial services industry. Prior to joining FPSB in April 2018, she held communications roles at Deloitte LLP, Pinnacol Assurance and the University of Denver where she developed communications strategies for multiple stakeholder groups and provided communications counsel to executive leadership.

    She began her career as a print journalist before moving into corporate communications and has a strong track record of developing results-driven, integrated communications plans.

    She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Dillard University and her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

    In her free time, Ms. Tellis enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and taking on small home improvement projects.

  • Carrie Critchlow

    Carrie Critchlow

    Executive Assistant to the CEO / Global Event Planner

    Carrie Critchlow is the EA to the CEO and Global Event Planner at FPSB. Ms. Critchlow supports CEO Noel Maye with the logistics of his international travel and represents the Denver-based executive office. She also heads up the planning and execution of FPSB’s Global Member Meetings.

    Ms. Critchlow has more than six years of experience in the EA role, supporting C-level executives with a global mandate. She joined FPSB in May 2015 after working with international-based medical device companies, including DaVita in Denver and Biomet 3i in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Prior to this, she held Interior Design roles at architectural firms in south Florida for eight years.
