As Australia’s leading professional association for financial planners, the Financial Planning Association (FPA) represents the interests of the public and 11,000 members. Founded in 1992 by merger of the International Association for Financial Planning and the Australian Society of Investment and Financial Advisors Limited, the FPA is the only professional body for financial planners in Australia. FPA offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program, and develops professional, compliance and ethical standards for CFP professionals. In addition, the FPA represents members’ interests with legislators, regulators and consumer bodies.
