CFP certification launches in Italy
DENVER, COLO – 25 October 2023 – To drive excellence in the practice of financial planning, Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB Ltd.), the standards-setting body for the global financial planning profession, announced at the FPSB Global Meeting 2023 in Singapore held 17-19 October that FPSB Italia has joined its global network of professional financial planning bodies as an Associate to bring the CFP certification program to Italy.
“With the shift of openness and transparency in the European financial market, the financial planning landscape in Italy is becoming more diversified with independent financial institutions and advisors,” said FPSB CEO Dante De Gori, CFP. “This presents an opportune time to partner with FPSB Italia to bring CFP certification to Italy, and welcome it as an Associate in our global network of organizations.”
CFP certification is the hallmark of excellence in the global financial planning profession. CFP professionals undergo extensive training and education to gain a deep understanding of financial planning principles and strategies to provide comprehensive and holistic financial planning advice. Earning CFP certification symbolizes a financial planning professional’s commitment to rigorous standards of competency and ethics and offers unparalleled value to both professionals and their clients.
With more than 213,000 CFP professionals worldwide, financial planning practitioners in Italy will be able to join a robust network of professionals who are committed to professionalism in financial planning and to the advancement of the global financial planning profession.

The first cohort of CFP professionals in Italy was announced at the Consultique Annual Conference in Verona, Italy on 25 October.
