Financial Planning Standards Board Names Pamela Packard 2016 FPSB Board Chairperson-Elect
DENVER, CO – 03 May 2016 – Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB), owner of the international CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program outside the United States, named Pamela J. Packard, CPA, president and CEO of Strategic Enterprises, LLC, as Chairperson-elect of its Board of Directors. Ms. Packard was appointed at the semi-annual FPSB Global Member Meeting in Toronto, Canada, last month.
“Pamela has played a significant role on the FPSB Board of Directors since her appointment in 2012, and I’m delighted that the Board has chosen her to join me in leading FPSB,” said Sanjay Sachdev, CFP, FPSB Board Chairperson. “During her time on the FPSB Board, Pamela has participated on various committees and chaired both the Audit and Governance Committees. Her in-depth knowledge of the organization and her focus on strategy and ability to assess the impacts of our global business environment will serve FPSB very well as we engage in our strategy refresh this year.”

At Strategic Enterprises, LLC, Packard provides strategic advisory services to senior executives and businesses, primarily in the professional and financial services sectors. Prior to her current position, Packard spent nearly 25 years at BDO Seidman, LLP (now BDO USA, LLP), where she served in various positions, including vice chairman, board member, and national tax business line leader. Throughout her career, Packard has held numerous positions on both corporate and nonprofit boards, and now serves as a director and chairperson of the audit committee of Brown Jordan International, Inc. Packard also serves as president of National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) New York Chapter and is recognized as an NACD governance fellow.
