FPSB Names Kimmis Pun, CFP, to 2017 Board of Directors

DENVER, CO – 26 October 2016 – Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB), owner of the international CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program outside the United States, named Kimmis Pun, CFP, to its Board of Directors for a four-year term beginning on 01 April 2017. Pun is the Managing Director of Standard Chartered Private Bank Singapore overseeing the bank’s Greater China private banking business.

As a senior banker with more than 30 years of experience, Pun has dedicated her professional life to educating and improving the lives of consumers around the world through financial planning. A strong believer in philanthropy and life-long learning, Pun speaks frequently at seminars and gives lectures at universities and academic institutions. She is active in community service, and some of her other contributions to society and the profession include:

  • Member, FPSB Professional Standards Committee;
  • President, Financial Planning Association of Singapore;
  • President, Rotary Club of Suntec City;
  • President, Federation of Business and Professional Women Singapore; and
  • Advisory Board Member, Crescent Girls’ School.

As a member of FPSB’s Professional Standards Committee, Pun has contributed to establishing rigorous competency, ethics and practice standards for the global financial planning profession.

Pun received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. Other achievements include academic and professional qualifications from the United States, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore, including ChFC, CWMA, AIF, AEPP and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification.
